THE LATEST PURE DRIFTING DVD REVIEWS
The Pure Drifting DVD continues to receive rave reviews from
various websites. Look for upcoming reviews in most of the
import tuning magazines.
The Pure Drifting review on Driftcentral.com states, "...I
believe that the DVD covered everything that I learned in
my first year in the drift community in about an hour and
had I owned this DVD from the get-go, it would have saved
me a lot of trouble."

BIG LITTLE FILMS AT DRIFT DAY 14
 Big
Little Films joined Drift
Association at Irwindale Speedway for Drift Day 14. Pure
Drifting DVDs, t-shirts stickers and posters were on sale
at our booth as Summer made an early appearance with temperatures
rising to the the high 90s. The new Spike TV drifting show,
"Redline" was shooting interviews with many of the
Drift Association staff and the drifters that turned out to
test their skills. There were three separate drifting courses
setups, two on Irwindale's famed oval track as well as a single
course in the Irwindale parking lot. Special thanks to Naoki
Kobayashi and Moto Miwa of Drift Association for this great
day of fun in the sun.

BIG LITTLE FILMS AT D1 GRAND PRIX
Saturday, February 28th marked the opening of the 2004 D1
Grand Prix Drifting series at Irwindale Speedway and the public
premier of Big Little Films new DVD "Pure Drifting".
With more than 10,000 rabid drifting fans in attendance, the
crowds at the Pure Drifting booth were huge and hundreds of
D1 fans had a chance to check out and buy Pure Drifting DVDs,
t-shirts, sweatshirts, decals and posters. Pictured above
is Pure Drifting Executive Producer Rich Nakajima with famous
D1 celebrity Eiji "Tarzan" Yamada as well as images
of the Pure Drifting booth.
The car at the top right side is the Kei Office S-15 that
was driven to victory at this event by Yasuyuki Kazama. It
just so happens that the Pure Drifting DVD features exclusive
on-car footage from a private D1 practice event with Kazama
driving this same car (it was painted blue last year) that
was shot a few days before last Augusts D1 event at Irwindale
so you can check out Kazama's moves as he practiced. When
all was said and done, this was an amazing day and an awesome
spectacle.

BIG LITTLE FILMS AT DRIFT DAY 13
Saturday, February 21st turned out to be a rare, rainy Southern
California day. Drift events with rain are unusual for Southern
California drifters, but the rain actually made the day much
more interesting. There were several D1 cars and drivers out
practicing for next Saturday's kickoff to the 2004 D1 Grand
Prix season opener at Irwindale Speedway. Saturday also marked
an appearance of the new all female drift team, "Drifting
Pretty", founded by Drift Association instructors and
Pure Drifting interviewees Nadine Toyoda and Yoshie Shuyama.
The rain somewhat spoiled the planned Toyota 20th Anniversary
car show. There were plenty of nice, older and rare Toyota's
present, but not too many owners showing them off due to the
wet conditions.
Big Little Films was prepping for our booth display at this
event for next Saturday's D1 event as well as shooting video
for a future project. We were joined by a New York production
team that was shooting a story for a show for Spike TV. Special
thanks to Naoki Kobayashi and Moto Miwa of Drift Association
for putting on an awsome event and thanks to Nadine Toyoda/Yoshie
Shuyama and all of the women of the Drifting Pretty womens
drifting team for letting us hang with them.

BIG LITTLE FILMS COMPLETES TRAILER FOR SPEEDTRIAL USA
Big Little Films has completed a promotional video for road
racing organizer SpeedTrial
USA. Shot over the course of ten months in 2003, the footage
features exciting road racing, pit and behind the scenes footage
at various SpeedTrial USA events at California Speedway, Buttonwillow
and Streets of Willow including STUSA's Inaugural Cup Challenge
race series.

Big Little Films welcomes DriftNation, Inc. as our latest
web affiliate. Drift Nation was established in June 2003 in
Toronto, Canada. Drift Nation organizes local drifting events,
training and competition and holds exhibitions with professional
drivers Japan and the U.S. DriftNation, Inc. is the first
organization of it's type in Canada and is the only Canadian
organization affiliated with Drift Association LLC. and GoDrift,
both based in California.

BIG LITTLE FILMS INTERVIEW AIRS ON DANISH BROADCASTING
Big Little Films director Dan Brockett's radio interview about
how we use Apple Soundtrack for music work, with Carsten Nielsen,
radio journalist for the show, "Harddisken" has
aired on DBC Channel 1 in Denmark (see Big Little Films News
item below). Take
a listen This
program is in RealAudio format on the Hardisken site and is
half in Danish and half in English. All of the background
music in the story was created with Apple Soundtrack. Dan's
interview is 7 minutes into the show.

BIG LITTLE FILMS AT NISSAN OWNERS FESTIVAL/DRIFT DAY 10
A beautiful Saturday found Big Little Films shooting at California
Speedway at the Nissan Owner's Festival. In
addition to the video shoot, Big Little Films was exhibiting
video clips at the Drift
Association - Upgrade
Motoring booth (A big thank you to Naoki Kobayashi - Drift
Association and Glenn Kowta - Upgrade Motoring!). The event's
focus was to bring Nissan owners together and stimulate involvement
in sanctioned track events. In addition to a Drift school
sponsored by Drift
Association, there were parts giveaways, food and drinks,
and special Nissan car displays. Many vendors, who cater to
Nissans, like KAAZ USA, Superior Nissan, and 5Zigen USA were
there to show their latest in Nissan-specific parts and accessories.

BIG LITTLE FILMS SHOOTS MID-WEEK SPEEDTRIAL USA EVENT
This rare
mid-week SpeedTrial
USA event at Streets of Willow provided the hottest road
racing as the event sold out. With a wide variety of cars
running including everything from several Porsche 911 Turbos
and a race ready Ferarri 360 to Honda CRX's, there was plenty
of hot, wheel to wheel action to shoot. The latest trend seemed
to be tricked Scion
XB's taking to the track for racing. www.BBist.com
and other Scion XB clubs were in attendance and all over the
track. The Scion XB seems to be the next big car movement,
now if they can just do a rear wheel drive conversion so they
can be Drifted!

BIG LITTLE FILMS SHOOTS AT DRIFT ASSOCIATION INSTRUCTOR EVENT
Sunday,
November 23rd, Drift
Association, LLC held a private Drifting instructor event
at
Irwindale Speedway and the Big Little Films cameras were
there to capture all of the action. D1 Grand Prix drivers
Ernie Fixmer and Ken Gushi of Team
Rotora, the Signal
Auto 180SX and all of the Drift Association instructors
were out tearing up the asphalt for this special Drift session.
The weather was perfect as the
drivers tried out a new practice Drifting circuit for the
first time.

BIG LITTLE FILMS ATTENDS SEMA 2003 TRADE SHOW
Executive Producer Rich Nakajima and Director Dan Brockett
were in attendance at the 2003 SEMA Auto Show. SEMA
is the Specialty Equipment Manufacturer Association that represents
the aftermarket auto industry. There were more than 9,000
booths spread out over more than 2 million feet of exhibition
space. Big Little Films made the trip to Las Vegas to meet
with car industry clients, check out what the newest trends
are in the import scene and to see what inroads Drifting has
made into the mainstream car industry.

BIG LITTLE FILMS DELIVERS TRADESHOW VIDEO FOR SHELL OIL
Big Little Films produced a :26 animation for Axius,
a Moorpark, Ca-based division of Shell Oil. Axius manufacturers
400+ different car accessories. The
Auto Expressions animation was produced for the AAPEX Tradeshow,
November 4-7 in Las Vegas and it highlighted Auto Expressions,
Axius' newest brand.

Big
Little Films Producer/Director Dan Brockett was recently interviewed
by Danish journalist Carsten Nielsen for a weekly nationwide
radio program focused on technology. Dan discussed the implications
of Apple's new music composition program Soundtrack on video
and media production. "Harddisken" is aired nationwide
on Danish Broadcasting Corporation's talk-channel P1.
